Update 2019. Wow! 30 years! I have been back to school twice since I updated this last, Lol. First, obtaining my BSN in 2013, and now half way through my MSN/Nurse Practitioner program. I hope to graduate May 2021. Then on to my Doctorate, if I have any energy left. Lol. My babies are grown (27, 25, 20) Tyler is now married and has two children; he is a full-time firefighter šØāš at Martinsville with his dad, and is also a full time EMT for the county-yes he works way too much! Bailey is married with three children, she owns a successful photography business and is taking her real estate licensing test soon. Jordan is still home and in school full time for welding and industrial technology, and works full-time. They all work so hard, and are amazing kids! Iām so grateful God chose me to be their momma. And Yes, I did say we are grandparents to Five amazing kids!!! Kamden7, Joey7, Lyviair 4, Amelia 1.5, and Landry 1. We are so blessed!! Being a grandma is the most rewarding thing I have ever done ā¤ļø For the last six and a half years I have been back at IU Health Morgan, and wear many hats- RN Manager of Quality and Compliance/Regulatory, Safety,Emergency Preparedness and Education. I love all I do, but so look forward to having just one title/concentration when I graduate! š. Iām excited to get back to caring for patient

Original post 2008ish...
After graduation I attended business college and married my high school sweetheart, J.R. Blondell, in 1990. I worked at a law office as an assistant for about a year and then we had our first son Tyler. I became a stay-at-home mom with our son and daughter Bailey, born 2 years later, for a while and loved it! But then I decided to go back to work, I went into sales for about 10 years, minus the time I took off to spend time with our baby (now 10!), our son Jordan.
Then about 5 1/2 years ago I went back to college and graduated May 08 with a degree in nursing. I worked as an RN in the Intensive Care Unit at Morgan Hospital for a year and learned so much. I wish I would have done it years ago! However, I was a little busy raising the three most wonderful kids in the world! : )
UPDATE: I was offered a job in the Emergency Department of Bloomington Hospital about a month and a half ago and of course I took it! I love Emergency Medicine, there is just nothing like it! I have awful hours and I have to drive 35 minutes to work, and I still love it! ha!
Our oldest son Tyler is now a Senior in high school, well, he will be in August! WOW I just cant believe it!!! He is planning to go to college and be a police officer after high school. We are very proud of him, he's just an all around great kid!
Bailey will be a Freshman in August and is busy with high school cheerleading practice and her friends. She is in Washington D.C. on the 8th grade trip right now, and I am a very nervous mother! : )
Jordan will be in 5th grade in August. He stays busy with sports; baseball now, football in the fall, followed by basketball. He loves to play and we love to watch him play!
Oh, and last but not least, J.R. is a firefighter for the City of Martinsville and has been for about 11 years now. He loves it and I doubt he will ever retire!
