Jennifer Williams

Jennifer Lynn Williams, 54, of Martinsville, Indiana, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at 9:25 PM on Saturday, March 28, 2026.

 

Born on June 30, 1971, in Martinsville, Indiana, Jennifer was the youngest of three daughters born to Rodney H. Williams and Diane C. (Wood) Williams. A lifelong resident of Martinsville, she graduated from Martinsville High School with the Class of 1989 and later completed her training and certification in cosmetology.

 

Jennifer spent several years working as a barber at Fleener’s Family Hair Care in Martinsville, where she built lasting relationships with her clients and coworkers. Known for her warm personality and easy conversation, she made everyone who sat in her chair feel like family.

 

A woman of faith, Jennifer was a Christian who enjoyed attending church and found comfort and strength in her beliefs.

 

She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. Jennifer loved the outdoors, especially fishing, and could often be found enjoying nature whenever she had the chance. She had a creative spirit and enjoyed making bead jewelry, as well as thrifting. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she adored her loyal companion, her dog, Eazy.

 

Jennifer is survived by a host of loving family including her father, Rodney Williams of Gosport; mother, Diane Williams of Martinsville; her partner, Jake Schell of Martinsville; sons, Chase (Zoe) Schell of Clayton and Trae (Brittney) Schell of Mooresville; daughter, Alexus Schell of Noblesville; sisters, Natalie (Mike) Stierwalt of Gosport and Rebecca O’Neal of Martinsville; her cherished grandchildren, Addaline Sexton and D.J. Schell; and several loving nieces and nephews, Rodney (Liz), Lincoln, Jackson, and Grant Stierwalt; Stephanie (Stephen) and Beau Recktenwald; and Houston, Hudson, Tilly, and Tessa O’Neal.

 

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, April 6, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Neal & Summers Funeral and Cremation Center in Martinsville. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Liberty Cemetery in Martinsville.
